Arsenal – Defence

Arsenal needs backup Centre backs as soon as possible. Saliba’s absence towards the end of Arsenal’s 22/23 season due to injury was evidence enough that there needs to be some changes made as the Gunners lost out on the league in the remaining fixtures of April and May.
After topping the league for almost 10 months, Arsenal’s dip in form was unexpected and abhorrent. Add in the disparity in terms of sheer ability to defend, then you’ll notice that the likes of Rob Holding are not fit backup for a title contending club.
Chelsea – Striker

At this point, I think a witch doctor should be called to remove this Number 9 curse from Chelsea. I mean how many strikers can possibly honk for this club?
Virtually sorted in every position except striker, Chelsea can only get better from where they finished last season.
Starting off by getting a proper coach in Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea are off to a good start and should be looking to reignite their interest on Dusan Vlahovic as they are in dire need of a number 9 and a goalkeeper, with the latter more important in my opinion.
According to Soccerstats.com, Chelsea averaged a goal per game while conceding an average of 1.24 goals per game. These stats speaks volumes about the kind of season they had – a season of shambles.
Liverpool – Midfield

Liverpool need a midfield overhaul. After offloading Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and veteran James Milner for free, the reds have been further left exposed at midfield.
Despite Alexis Mac Allister’s signing from Brighton on a long term, Liverpool face an unavoidable midfield predicament as the remaining first-team midfield picks, Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho are all on the wrong side of 30 – and while they feel like they can bring something to the table, the younger prospects are more exciting and more probable to help bring life to that dead Liverpool midfield.
To the reds’ luck though, it has been reported that Klopp will be given 150m to splash on new midfielders, and with the following heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, it will be interesting to see how new sporting director Jorg Schmadtke does. (Khephren Thuram, Manu Kone, Gabri Veiga, Ryan Gravenberch and Romeo Lavia have all been spotted as possible suitors for a move to Merseyside.)
Manchester City – Central Midfield

With Ilkay Gundogan likely to go, City are gonna need capable backup CM’s for them to remain cutthroat. While Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland racked in all the plaudits for their successful treble charge, Gundogan was and has, for the most part been the underlying important piece of Guardiola’s puzzle.
From goals that won City the league on the final day of the season to FA Cup final bangers within a minute, Gundogan has done it all for the blue moon.
Manchester United – Striker

Manchester United need to better their striker department and Wout Weghorst’s disasterclass is all the more reason why. The tall Dutchman ended his Premier League season with the Red Devils on 0 goals in 17 outings. While Weghorst is in all honesty not Man United material, him not scoring even once for them in the Prem speaks volumes to what is happening upfront for Man U.
Although Benni McCarthy’s unprecedented arrival as a striker coach rejuvenated United’s attack, with the likes of Marcus Rashford MBE having their highest scoring season yet, it has also shown us that they could do with a world class striker if they want to compete on all fronts.
Harry Kane seems the obvious reinforcement for the Red Devils as he has been linked with the Mancunians for a couple of transfer windows now. But with Daniel Levy reluctant to sell Kane to other Premier League teams, Man U better look elsewhere while they still got time.
Tottenham Hotspurs – GK & an Attacking Midfielder

Hugo Lloris is getting old and it’s starting to show. While the Frenchman admitted that he has been struggling with the mental and physical demands of the first half of the season and the disappointment of France’s World Cup final defeat to Argentina, his howlers have been affecting Tottenham in the worst way possible.
Poised to finish in the top three after the first half of the season, Tottenham just faltered down afterwards. The way they were so bad, you’d swear their world class players had gone into hiding (with Kane being the only exception as he hit 30 goals for Spurs last season.)
A suitable competent replacement for Lloris has to be chosen soon, or else, Tottenham’s season will yet again be summed up to a couple of individual errors ruining what was to be a new age of success for them.
Raya (27) has been deemed as the perfect solution to Tottenham’s goalkeeper woes, with James Maddison also a possibility for Spurs after Leicester got relegated. James Maddison’s arrival would mean that a gap long left by Christian Eriksen would at last be filled.
