The English Premier League has at last come to a conclusion, and with that, it is time to see how the 2022/23 signings faired at their new clubs.
Arsenal – Jesus (7)

Starting off with the Gunners, Gabriel Jesus has been a 7/10, and although he was not their standout player of the 22/23 season, Saka and Martinelli have been able to shine next to him upfront.
Kicking off his Arsenal career with 11 goals and 6 assists, which are commendable stats, I think Jesus might cook some more next season and hopefully bring a trophy to the Emirates.
Chelsea – Sterling (3)

3/10 for Sterling. The move felt right for him at that point in time, but what we saw this entire season was a disasterclass not only from Sterling but the entire Chelsea team, with Reece James being the only exception. Sterling scored 4 times for the west londoners as they finished 11th in the log standings.
Chelsea forwards, consisting of top players such as Joao Felix, Kai Havertz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, couldn’t lace Diogo Jota’s boots even though he was injured for most of the season and had to challenge for game time against five other top forwards when he came back. That’s how bad Chelsea were.
Liverpool – Nunez (5)

It seems fair to say Nunez hasn’t entirely adjusted to the league as he came up with a mediocre 9 goals for Liverpool in the Prem – only behind on goals for Liverpool to Salah(19) and the departing Bobby Firmino(11).
While his positional play and rapid pace have been a major positive for Liverpool, Darwin’s nerves seemed to get the better of him at times as he missed shots that looked easier to score than miss.
I honestly don’t know who to blame, him or Liverpool for failing to teach him English in time. Because his lack of communication with his teammates seemed to be detrimental to the teams growth.
Manchester City – Haaland (10)

Whoever doubted this man at the start of the season better apologise because Haaland wasn’t here to play. Besides handing City a treble and their first ever champions league, Haaland broke Premier League records, including most goals scored in a season, the quickest individual to score two, three and four hat-tricks, and the first player in the league’s history to score hat-tricks in three consecutive home games.
Manchester United – Martinez (8)

Martinez delivered stability to Man U’s defense, can you believe that? A 5 foot something man has been bossing around strikers in the Premier League… Mad. Anyway, he should have been a 9 but Salah took it away from him with that spinarooni in United’s 7-0 loss.
Tottenham Hotspurs – Perisic (7)

Perisic has been stellar for Spurs, making all the right tackles and assisting the boys in white. While the overall team’s performance doesn’t exactly show that, Perisic, alongside Kane were the most lively players for Tottenham throughout the season as they lost out on European football.
